I would like to bring to your notice the chaos in west k.k.nagar particularly NESAPAKKAM main road that connects k.k.nagar with Mount poonamallee road. The roads have to be realigned and encroachments removed .While so much is being written about the heart of the city the tail end areas which have seen rapid fire growth are ignored. The roads here are pathetic, the traffic very heavy and the infrastructure woefully inadequate. The second master plan of CMDA has listed ambitious plans for the roads in this area but nothing has been done.

First of all the local bodies sensitize their vision and need of effort to accomplish the same. Such urge hardly happens in day to day affairs in local administration.Further the district admin controls the funding hence micro level needs of the people gets least attention.
Second master plan is only a documentation and no agency takes it on its priority. The depts concerned have their own limited fund and priority to address.
Unlike in western countries the Councillors and their president are just elected reps with out any power to execute.
