Namma Chennai Lightning Talk Series

The Lightning Talk SeDSC02491ries planned by Namma City, City Connect & The Knowledge foundation was a good start. The event had speakers from very diverse backgrounds.

The first speaker Mathew Jose of Paperman foundation explained about the activities that their organization does. It was interesting to see how a value system can be inculcated into the student community.

The next speaker was Hari Balaji, a consultant with UNICEF who has many years of experience in the disaster management field. It was very interesting to the audience as most of us never knew such a authority actually existed 🙂

The next speaker was Sharath an Ex-Infosys software engineer who is now in the solar energy sector. More than the subject he got the audience thinking about the impact that human activities have on other species.

The next speaker was Abdul Ghani who leads the Green Kalam initiative, who explained about the great activity he is mentoring at Church park. Eco Labs! though a new term for many in the audience is functioning for sometime now in the school.

The event had participation from many NGO’s from around the city.
